At any given point I have several topics that I actively research. However, research progress can range from having an idea written on a page in a notebook, to an annotated bibliography, to an outline, to a working paper. While ideas abound, the work that it takes to take an idea to something resembling real research can at times be a herculean task. In the spirit of not deceiving myself or the world I limit myself to one or two active research projects that are typically tangentially related to one another during any given time period.
